Kris is from the Nlaka'pamux Nation of the Interior Salish peoples of BC. Like many people in our community, Kris is of mixed blood which includes Italian, Irish and English. Kris has been working as a family support worker for 6 years and is currently finishing her Degree in Social Work with a First Nations Specialization.

Over the next several months Kris will be conducting a mapping of Aboriginal people and services in the West Kootenay region. This mapping is an important part of future service delivery to Aboriginal People. It will be a tool to determine the needs of your community and family.
